Colorado’s Behavioral Health Blueprint 2020

Colorado’s Behavioral Health Task Force has a new project. The mission of the task force is to evaluate and set the roadmap to improve the current behavioral health system in the state. This includes developing Colorado’s “Behavioral Health Blueprint” by June 2020, with anticipated implementation of recommendations starting in July 2020.

This is a very important mission and the SeeMe website is a good start, yet so far the website does not mention Postvention as a specific area of concern.

Suicide attempt survivors, their families & friends, and suicide loss survivors have a historic opportunity to give our input as to what follow up care is needed – both short term and long term.

This is an important opportunity to be heard on such programs such as peer support, trauma-informed schools, restorative circles, harm reduction, diversity training for students and staff, or the emotional/mental effects of simulated armed assailant drills in schools.
